19 players named to FC Barcelona's team, including Xavi Hernández

The FC Barcelona midfielder trained with the group this Monday afternoon at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper

Tito Vilanova and Jordi Roura have named 19 players to the team ahead of the return leg of the Champions League round of 16 match against AC Milan. Valdés, Pinto, Alves, Piqué, Fàbregas, Puyol, Xavi, Villa, Iniesta, Alexis, Messi, Thiago, Mascherano, Sergio, Pedro, Jordi Alba, Adriano, Song and Tello will suit up against the Italian team

Therefore, Xavi Hernández has been named to the team, even though he has yet to receive the medical all-clear to return to competitive play. Montoya, Abidal, Dos Santos and Bartra (injured) did not make the team.

Training session with all available players

Barça completed its penultimate training session before tomorrow’s clash with Milan. Breaking from team routine, the players trained at the Ciutat Esportiva instead of at the Camp Nou. All available players were present, including Xavi, who once again trained with normality.

After the session, the players relocated to Hotel W of Barcelona. They will train once again – on Tuesday at noon at the Camp Nou – before tomorrow’s match against Milan.
