It’s all about attitude for Barcelona vs. Milan

The players and coaching staff of Barcelona know that this one game against AC Milan could define the whole season for the club. If Barca fail to overturn the 2-0 deficit from the San Siro, most of them will look back on the season with regret, whereas a good performance that sees them through will galvanize the team for the rest of the season and install Barcelona back as favourites to lift the European cup again.
Barca were absolutely flying earlier this season, leading to claims that this team was even better than the one assembled by Pepe Guardiola a few years ago. Whether it is tiredness, complacency or the absence of Tito Vilanova from the dressing room is unsure, but Barca have definitely lost their way a little.
It is certain that the Spanish Primera Liga title will be heading back to the Nou Camp, but the Champions League would add the gloss that the team deserves. Plenty of Barca players have been talking up the chances of still progressing, while Milan know that they could be in for a torrid time. If Barca can produce what they are really capable of, we know that 2, 3 or 4 goals is well within reach.
I think it will come down to which team has the right attitude. Milan could crack under intense pressure, or they could be encouraged into the game if Barca are not causing them too many problems. Hopefully the recent poor results will have given the team a wake up call and they will set about Milan in the right way tonight. If that happens, we will be in the quarter-finals.
